A decent coat is one essential item every girl needs in her winter wardrobe. It could be a warm winter coat or a raincoat. The climate you live in will determine what you need and want.
If you already own a coat, that’s great. Take it out of your wardrobe and check that it is clean and ready to wear. If not, take it to the drycleaner now.
If you don’t own a coat or you are thinking of upgrading your coat, then there are a number of things you need to think about. A coat can be a costly item, and it will be an investment piece in any wardrobe so it’s a good idea to consider all your options before you hit the shops.
I recommend asking yourself five questions.
1. How much do I want to spend?
2. What is the purpose of the coat?
3. Where will I wear the coat most?
4. What style of coat do I like?
5. What colour do I want?
There are many coats to choose from in the stores so making these decisions ahead of time will make your shopping experience easier and more enjoyable.
I modelled some lovely coats at Vintage Addiction boutique in Newmarket last week, if you want to check them out.
